Lake George in November: Weather, Things to Do & What to Expect

During the month of November, Lake George transitions into its quiet off-season with cold temperatures and the possibility of snow. Many of the shops, restaurants and resorts in Lake George Village close down for the winter season, but you’ll still find a variety of places to eat, play and stay, as well as cozy indoor activities and festive holiday events.

The weather outside may be cold and gray, but Lake George is merry and bright as local establishments and events help to kick-off the festive holiday season. Because many of the seasonal resorts close down by November, visitors rely heavily on the Lake George Region’s vacation home rentals this time of year, often opting for homes with fireplaces or large gathering spaces for hosting Thanksgiving.
