FAQ: Vacation Home Owners & Renters

Our main focus at Northern Living NY is year round vacation rentals. Homeowners like you come to us in need of housekeeping/cleaning and maintenance services. We introduce the idea of renting their home and often they love the idea. They can still use the house whenever they like, and we do the rest. We advertise the property, schedule the cleaning, and regular maintenance. We specialize in vacation home management which creates revenue to help with the expenses of owning a vacation home, while freeing up more of your time to spend enjoying the lake!

Absolutely! At Northern Living NY, we pride ourselves in providing a customized service to both homeowners and guests. Tell us what weeks you plan on using the house, and we can fill in the surrounding weeks. If it works for you, we can most likely make it work on our end.

All you need to bring is food and clothes for your 7 days at the lake! That’s it! We supply all the sheets and towels that you need as well as all kitchen dishes and silverware. Starter paper products and soaps are provided for you as well and most importantly, all of our properties have WiFi.

The sooner the better. Some of our returning renters keep their deposits with us and transfer it for the following summer. This gives them the first choice to pick the week that they want. If that doesn’t work for you, give us a call in the beginning of the year (around January/February) and chances are the week you want will still be available.

We do supply our guests with towels and bed linens, some homes even offer beach towels.

Some homes do supply a starter of paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, and napkins.
