The Lake George Region is home to several lakes, as well as many public beaches. Tucked into New York’s Adirondacks, our clean, sandy beaches offer panoramic mountain views and crystal-clear waters, as well playgrounds, picnic areas and many other amenities.

Million Dollar Beach – Lake George, NY

The largest and most popular beach in Lake George, Million Dollar Beach offers 51 acres of sand along the lake’s southern basin. The beach is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend, and swimming is permitted in designated areas when lifeguards are on duty. The beach includes a snack bar and a bathhouse with restrooms, showers and changing facilities, as well as a volleyball court, picnic tables, grills, and a boat launch. Parking is available for a fee.

Usher Park Beach – Lake George, NY

Quieter and smaller than Million Dollar Beach, Usher Park Beach is located on the southeast shore of Lake George on Route 9L. The beach is located down a steep hill from the parking area, but the swimming area is shallow enough for small children, and lifeguards are typically on duty between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm from mid-June until September. There’s a playground, restrooms, and a picnic area with grills, as well as tennis and basketball courts. Parking is free, but limited.

Shepard Park Beach – Lake George, NY

Located on Canada Street in the heart of Lake George Village, Shepard Park features a small sandy beach and a large grassy hill with plenty of shade. There are restrooms and a small playground in the park, as well as an amphitheater for free concerts and events. Shephard Park Beach is free, but there’s no parking lot, so beach-goers must use the metered parking throughout Lake George Village.

Rogers Memorial Park Beach – Bolton Landing, NY

The sandy beach is open to the public from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm every day during the summer, and lifeguards are on duty from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. There are designated swimming areas for shallow and deeper waters, and amenities include free boat slips, tennis and basketball courts, picnic tables, grills, a playground, pavilion and restrooms. The park also hosts free movies, concerts during July and August, and fireworks on the Fourth of July and Labor Day. Parking is available for a fee.

Veteran’s Memorial Park Beach – Bolton Landing, NY

A half-mile north of Rogers Memorial Park on Route 9N in Bolton Landing, Veteran’s Memorial Park is open to the public from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm every day during the summer. There’s a sandy beach and a designated swimming area with lifeguards on duty from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, as well as picnic tables and grills, a pavilion, playground, basketball court, restrooms, a kayak launch and free boat slips. Parking is available for a fee.

Butler Pavilion Park offers plenty of shade, picnic tables under a pavilion, and free concerts in the summer. Please note: Wayside Beach does not have restrooms.

Luzerne Beach – Lake Luzerne, NY

Luzerne Beach on Lake Luzerne is located at the end of Pierpont Road.
